This electrical junction box is part of the extensive 44 CE range, which includes three families of boxes made from various technopolymers, two of which are halogen-free. The range offers 11 different sizes, with options for ordinary or high-capacity bases, high or low lids, blank or transparent lids, and smooth walls or quick-entry cable glands, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications.
All outdoor junction boxes in the 44 CE range comply with EN 60670-1 (CEI 23-48) and IEC 60670-22 (CEI 23-94) standards, ensuring they meet the necessary safety and performance requirements. The GW44207 is constructed from Technopolymer GWPLAST 75, a halogen-free material that complies with EN 60754-2. This high-performance material has a Glow Wire Test rating of 650°C and can withstand operating temperatures ranging from -25 to +60°C.
With an IP56 rating, this waterproof junction box provides excellent protection against both dust and strong jets of water, making it suitable for use in demanding environments. Additionally, the box boasts an IK08 mechanical resistance rating, which means it can withstand impacts, further enhancing its durability and reliability.
The Gewiss electrical junction box has internal dimensions of 190x140x70mm (LxHxD), providing plenty of room for wiring connections. The box features smooth walls for easy cleaning and maintenance, and a plain screwed lid with four insulated, sealable hinged screws for secure and tamper-resistant closure. The maximum diameter of holes possible is 37mm, and the recommended torque for tightening the screws is 1.8 Newton/meters.
